However, the iOS app significantly detracts from the experience due to reliability, speed, and usability issues: sluggish performance, stability problems, a web-view style charting experience, and intermittent data display. The core device remains a valuable tool, but the app requires major optimization to match its hardware capabilities.

Recent reviews

Overall a solid product, but the app experience leaves a lot to be desired. The Pulse Pro hardware is great, but the app feels sluggish—especially when trying to take spectrum-based PPFD / DLI readings. The readout often takes way too long to load, and I regularly find myself force-quitting and restarting the app just to get a single reading to register. It can take several attempts and several minutes just to get usable data, which is frustrating when you’re standing there with your phone in hand waiting for it to respond. The spectrum breakdowns and data are fantastic when they work, but I’d love to see the app optimized for speed and stability. A tool this good deserves better software behind it.
