This app may be used by medical professionals who are approved for prescription of medication. Drug Explorer provides free scientific database information about drugs. By optional selection of numerous criteria those drugs can be found that match the selected criteria. Indications, contraindications and side effects can be selected as well as route of administration and elimination, liver and renal function, liquor patency, nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity and cardiotoxicity, QT prolongation, recommendations regarding pregnancy and lactation period, metabolisation, inhibition, induction of CYP450 and interaction with foods. A special focus is on antiinfectives (antibiotics, virustatics, antifungals, antiprotozoals and anthelmintics). Drug dosage recommendations are displayed, when a route of administration is selected.
