User Reviews

Users praise DMSS for ease of use, quick setup, and suitability for business surveillance, with clear recordings and night-vision benefits. However, recurring problems undermine experience: notifications often fail or lag, playback frequently shows no videos, login/authentication is unstable after updates, and overall performance is slow or unstable on iPad. Additionally, platform gaps (no native iPad app, no Android TV app) and device-adding limitations drive ongoing frustration. Stability, notification reliability, and cross‑device support are the critical improvement areas.

Pros

Easy to use and convenient
Easy to install and set up
Solid system suitable for business use
Clear recording capabilities with night-vision related features

Cons

Unreliable or missing notifications, including delayed alerts and removal of notification scheduling options
Playback issues such as 'no video' or inconsistent HD/SD quality and video retrieval failures
Login/authentication problems after updates (OTP failures, repeated login prompts)
Poor overall performance and reliability (slow launches, timeouts, post-update instability, especially on iPad)
Missing platform support and device setup limitations (no native iPad app, no Android TV app, local-network constraints for adding devices)
