I have been using the MITSBus app for almost a year. It does have quite a bit of information about routes, eta, and the live location of the bus for a chosen route. It updates and adds new features regularly. It has some broken links, and that will get better with updates. This app can be extremely useful to navigating through Muncie. (Whenever I can’t find info on the app, the website is a reliable alternative. Especially the trip planner) Unfortunately, (quite possibly old phone issues) I have troubles with the real-time location being available, eta updates are not in real-time. The busses sometimes share routes with their “partner” driver, and “top of the hour” departures may have an alternate route for “bottom of the hour” departures. Location updates- reliability seems to be 50/50 for real-time gps bus locator (again quite possibly old phone issues). When the route is chosen, the little bus icon may or may not appear. I have noticed that when it does appear, the location is accurate. I think this app and the MITS service are highly VALUABLE and I can’t wait to see the next update!
