Features & Capabilities

As seen in TechCrunch, Who What Wear, Sneaker Freaker and CTV News!

The free Xesto Fit iOS app allows iPhones X, 11 and 12 users to quickly scan their feet from home with under 1.5mm accuracy. Using the FaceID camera, users will take 5 photos of each of their feet. Xesto Fit'’s proprietary software will process and return accurate 3D models of the feet, along with the key dimensions. Users can interact with the 3D models of their feet in a photorealistic view or as point clouds.

Users can then receive shoe size recommendations in a long list of over 150 brands and send their foot profiles to friends and loved ones for gift purchasing.

Now, you can confidently purchase shoes from home knowing they will fit!

Xesto Fit runs on devices with TrueDepth front facing cameras, such as iPhone X, XR, XS, XS Max, 11, 11 Pro or iPad Pro.

User Reviews

User reviews consistently cite poor reliability and accuracy. While a few reports indicate measurements can be close when following directions, most reviews describe significant sizing inaccuracies across brands and inconsistent results. The scanning workflow is tedious and awkward, with prompts obscured by the front camera. Many users experience instability, crashes, and error messages. Overall, Xesto Fit is not yet reliable or user-friendly, though it may offer some utility when it happens to work.
Pros
  • When used as directed, the app's measurements can be reasonably close to manual measurements.
  • Brand-specific size recommendations can align with brands you already own.
  • Haptic feedback during scanning can help users know when positioning is correct.
Cons
  • Sizing is often inaccurate and inconsistent across brands, with errors of multiple sizes.
  • The scanning process is tedious, clunky, and requires awkward positioning and many attempts.
  • Reliance on the front-facing camera hides prompts and makes progress hard to see, creating a poor UX.
  • The app is frequently unstable, with crashes, errors, or scans that fail to complete.

One foot scanned fine the other took 5 tries to complete. Then the recommended list popped up but literally every brand I selected says we are updating this brand check back later. I selected bargain and high end but not a single brand could provide a recommendation. Deleted account and uninstalled.

Using the front selfie camera is a bit frustrating and tedious. Maybe using the back camera, so we can the screen while scanning the front would be better.
