User Reviews

User reviews for Mozilla VPN on Apple devices are mixed. Pros include easy setup, strong cross‑platform support, a privacy‑minded Mozilla/open‑source ethos, and good value. The most common negatives center on reliability: repeated connectivity problems and random disconnects, toggling issues that prevent turning the VPN off, and subscription/account handling with slow support. Some users also report accessibility challenges for VoiceOver. Overall, the app is easy and affordable for many, but reliability and billing/support concerns are repeatedly raised.
Pros
  • Easy to use and quick setup on iPhone and other devices
  • Cross‑platform compatibility (iPhone, Mac, Windows, Linux) with consistent usability
  • Strong privacy focus/ Mozilla brand trust and open‑source ethos
  • Relatively affordable value compared to many VPNs
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity issues: inability to connect to servers or inconsistent server connections
  • On/off toggle can get stuck or fail to disable, requiring restart/uninstall
  • Subscription/account handling problems (subscription not recognized, slow or unhelpful support)
  • Accessibility or usability issues for screen readers (VoiceOver) on iOS

I have been a fan of Mozilla for many decades but the VPN just doesn’t work. I have a to turn it off and back on every time I wake my phone up. It doesn’t stay connected on my computer, and half the websites I go to won’t load with it on. It’s just useless.
