Features & Capabilities

NALCHBP Telehealth provides 24/7 face-to-face visits with licensed, board-certified doctors from your mobile device. No appointment or referral is needed, and visits typically run about 10 minutes. You can get diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prescriptions when medically necessary, and sick slips for school or work for common conditions like allergies, cold and flu symptoms, fever, headaches, pinkeye, rashes, earaches, and more. You can review provider profiles (languages, state licensure, board certifications, education) before choosing a doctor. Copay is $10 per visit.

Privacy and security are priorities: visits are HIPAA-compliant, and clinical notes and prescriptions are saved to your account. The service is intended for NALC Health Benefit Plan High Option members only and is not for emergencies (call 911). Apple Health data sharing is optional to help providers make more accurate diagnoses.

User Reviews

Users frequently praise NALCHBP Telehealth for its convenience, professional clinicians, and quick, affordable access to care from home or while traveling. However, several reviews cite recurring issues with insurance/network charges, scheduling and wait times, limited specialist availability, and occasional negative interactions with providers. Overall, the service is valued for efficiency and cost savings, but reliability and breadth of coverage (specialists and pediatrics) remain common concerns.
Pros
  • Convenience and time savings from online video visits (can be done from home or while traveling), avoiding trips to urgent care.
  • Professional, attentive clinicians with good bedside manners who listen and explain options.
  • Quick, efficient visits with short or no wait times and lower cost compared to in-person visits.
  • Overall ease of use and reliable access to care without significant travel or wait times.
Cons
  • Insurance/network issues leading to unexpected charges or being directed to non-network providers.
  • Scheduling problems and long or inconsistent wait times, including being shuffled between doctors and not always seeing a provider.
  • Limited availability of specialists/pediatrics, with many reviews noting a focus on general doctors and few specialists.
  • Inconsistent patient experiences with some doctors hanging up or being interrogating, affecting perceived quality of care.

I found Doctor Davison to be patient and extremely helpful. At no moment did I feel like she was trying to pressure me into any particular type of remedy. She really asked me thoroughly every question she needed to in order to figure out my case. This is the second time I’ve used NALC Telehealth and again I’m extremely pleased with the service.

The Doctor I saw was very professional and succinct. Being able to see a doctor online was a great convenience and time saver. Time is my most precious commodity.

I have used TeleHealth on multiple occasions, every time has been quick. The doctors, NP, or PA have been professional and understanding. The appointments are thorough, but quick. There is generally less then 7 minutes of wait time to be seen. It costs less then an actual visit. It’s so convenient, especially when you are sick and don’t want to leave your residence just to wait in an Urgent Care for who knows how long. I definitely recommend using TeleHealth!
