TOC Exposure Events

I’ve directed, coached and attended many, many youth basketball tournaments. The Atlanta Hardwood HoopFest was by far the worst ran tournament I’ve ever experienced. It all started with no schedule and no venue being put out until the day before the first games. This made it difficult for travel arrangements to be made coming from out of town. Later we find out that there’s only three divisions in the tourney and one is combined. Being in Atlanta we expected more teams and a better venue than the small church, one court and a small bathroom that was out of order. No concession stand, kids from other teams running the clock, scoreboard problems galore in every game. The score consistently wrong and people arguing about it every game. All games running majorly behind schedule and no real explanation from the director as he sat at the gate and collected his money and talked on the phone. To top it all off they charged $45 for a weekend pass! For what??? This guy and this organization are seriously like a fish out of water. I never leave reviews but as I sit here waiting on my son’s game that is two hours behind schedule I had to vent! Don’t register for a tournament with this group! You have been warned!
