LG XBOOM – 2024 and earlier enables Bluetooth audio playback from your mobile device to a range of LG XBOOM speakers. It supports audio connection, lighting effects, DJ Scratcher and DJ Effects, and adjustable EQ presets.

Compatibility covers multiple XBOOM and LG speaker models; for iOS, some models require MFi certification. If you have models released after 2025, LG ThinQ is required. Optional permissions include Location, Media, Bluetooth, Mic, and Notifications; you can use the app even if you decline these.

Apparently LG thinks the App is more stable if the take away the features that wee working perfectly. I wish I could roll back to the previous version. I can no longer play my LG-XG2T speakers in stereo party link mode. Fail!!!
