Can’t even access videos from lectures on mobile app without having already opened it on the laptop. What even is the point

I am trying to use this app as a university student, however it barely functions. There is no “fill screen” or “expand view” setting, which is frustrating since tilting my phone doesn’t show the entire video in-frame. The bookmarks might be nice to have, but they don’t actually work. Clicking on them just shows the timestamp of the video without actually skipping to where you need to be. The video continues playing as if nothing happened. I seriously do not know how this service was implemented by so many universities, it seems like nothing was beta tested, nor have longstanding issues been addressed.
