User Reviews

Users like Spritz for fast, eye-free reading and accessibility, with reports of improved reading speed, especially aiding ADHD/dyslexia, and broad support for non-JS sites. However, many cite persistent downsides: a costly subscription model; friction copying/sharing text and limited browser integration; registration/login and cross-device issues; UI quirks such as highlight difficulties and red-letter readability; and several missing features (dark mode, Reader View-style scanning, imports, and broader integration).
Pros
  • Fast, high-speed reading without eye movement and reported gains in reading speed.
  • Accessible reading aid that some users describe as making reading more fluent and enjoyable, including for ADHD/dyslexia.
  • Works on many non-JavaScript sites/pages, broadening where Spritz can be used.
Cons
  • Pricing and subscription model are repeatedly seen as too expensive or not providing enough value.
  • Text copying/pasting and sharing text is cumbersome and lacks smooth browser integration.
  • Account/registration issues and cross-device subscription problems (login/verification, syncing across devices).
  • UI/UX issues like difficult text highlighting, red-letter display controversy, and interruptions from subscription prompts.
  • Missing features and integrations (dark mode, Reader View-like article scanning, PDF/book imports, browser/browser-extension integration).

I’m not sure how long it’s been since a review of this product but I just stated using this yesterday (January 26. So far, it does exactly what I need it to do. I have ADHD and dyslexia and I’m forever searching for away to make reading doable, fluent, and enjoyable. After working with this for a little, I few it as a brain exercise. My reading speed actually increased outside of its use. I’m not looking for perfection but what works. There is so much knowledge in written form and I refuse to be held back because of it. Thanks guys.

This app is pretty awesome, given the limited access that it has to content. I read a lot on web pages so it’s perfect for me. Not having a Select All option which you can then narrow from either top or bottom is kinda a pain, but w/e, not too bad to deal with. I don’t know why the words are at the very bottom. It’s a little bit annoying because there’s a bunch of empty space above that’s distracting, but that’s also ok I guess. Given everything I’ve said, I would give this app a five star if it weren’t for the red letter in the words. It’s torture. It’s super painful when you’re speed reading. I’ve tried other tools without red letters and they’re infinitely better. The red lettering has to go. It has to go. Even with the lack of Select All text option and the disorienting placement of the words, I’d rate it 5 stars. The red letter in each words makes this app 100% deserve a 1 star rating.
