Burgtheater PROMPT

The surtitle app Burgtheater PROMPT allows you to read along during the performance in English, German and, in some cases, other languages. It is aimed at non-German-speaking guests and hard-of-hearing audiences. In the performance schedule at www.burgtheater.at you will find the performances with the note “mit Übertitel-App PROMPT”.

When you are sitting in your seat on the evening of the performance, open the app. The app will guide you through the next steps: activate your flight mode and switch on your wifi. Burgtheater PROMPT automatically connects to our app network: LIBRBURG. If your smartphone does not support automatic wifi connections, please select the LIBRBURG network manually in the settings. Then select the desired subtitling language and you're done! If there is still some time before the performance starts, you can also read information about the play directly in the app. The countdown starts shortly before the performance begins: turn your cell phone to the right. The surtitles are displayed in white on a black background so that your neighbors are not disturbed.
