This is an awesome app. If you want a great setup for getting started with acid music, get this app to serve as the core of your acid setup. Add the Super 606 drum machine from AudioKit because it is nice to have an additional drum source and the 606 sounds work great with acid style music. Get Koala sampler with the Samurai pack to give you some versatility when you need it. Finally, get AUM to tie it all together, and you will really have a very complete acid production setup with this app as the foundation. Also, turn on the Apple effects in AUM to give you some baseline effects to use. Learn these four apps and how to integrate them, and you will be able to create some stellar music.

I get a whole lot of fun out of this app! The controls take getting used to but what app doesn’t really? I know it defeats the purpose of the app but having more options both for drums and bass would be so awesome! I’d even buy a whole new app in a similar style to this for the ability to have more than one bass note at a time for chords or a rudimentary drum synthesizer for even more variety!
