User Reviews

Infinitode 2 is widely praised for its depth and freedom: a deep, strategy-rich tower-defense game with a robust research tree, many towers and upgrades, and substantial replay value. It stands out for its customization through a strong custom-map editor and community content, plus a compelling audio-visual vibe. It’s free to play with optional ads and little to no paywall, and it receives regular updates. A few reviews mention early readability issues in tutorials and minor cloud-save/update quirks, but the game remains a top-tier TD experience.
Pros
  • No ads and no mandatory monetization; the game is free to play with resources earned through playing and optional ads.
  • Deep, complex tower-defense mechanics with a robust research tree and many upgrade paths.
  • Large amount of content and long-term progression with ongoing updates.
  • Custom maps and a strong map editor with community-created content.
  • Excellent atmosphere: music, graphics, and overall vibe.

The developer focused on gameplay rather than graphics or micro transactions. I haven’t found a freemium glass ceiling yet, so if you miss how games used to be like 10 years ago this is for you.

This game is so good, it actually feels like it’s not a mobile game. I really can get so immersed in it. So why do I like it? Doesn’t shove ads or payments in your face. They’re there, of course, but it took me a hot moment to find them, and only cause I looked for them. The Soundtrack. LOVE the soundtrack (best part in my opinion.) Especially for someone like me who enjoys electric music, they have tons of variety and quality. Super awesome. Skill Tree and Skill Ceiling. Lots of both. The game shows you all the upgrades in a HUGE tree, so much to play with. Conversely, skill ceiling affects your results, but you also never feel plateaued, or that you’ll never get that good. You will. Gradually but surely. There is some grinding. But as you get better and go back and repeat, the game still rewards you with trophies and clear conditions for rewards to keep things fresh. And the generally gameplay is satisfying. The effects and strategy and visuals all combine for an experience that is simple on the surface, yet deeply complex when looked into. NO WIFI! 9.9/10 (Wish there was some way to play other people’s levels.)
