Features & Capabilities

A meditation app should be “free” in any sense of the word.

Meditation is personal. Meditation is private. Meditation is you wrestling with yourself for your own peace of mind.

A simple search in App Store shows you hundreds of meditation apps, but they all try to get something out of you, be it your data, input, or money. They want you to take courses, to follow meditation gurus, teachers; they want to you to meditate with them and with other users to justify a subscription fee.

I used to be one of them, paying for something that’s inherently personal, private and doesn’t need any aspect of social. And yet, the more I meditate, the more I realized that meditation, at the end of the day, is me spending time with myself. Making it any more complicated that that is defeating the purpose of meditation.

So I said to hell with sign-ups, gurus, in-app purchases, and push notifications.
A meditation app should be profile-less. A meditation app should be data-free. A meditation app should be “free” in any sense of the word.

It only needs to track time.

So let’s meditate freely.
