Deep Tools is the complete dive toolkit for recreational, advanced, and technical divers. It supports importing dives from Shearwater computers, an advanced Deco Planner, gas blending, and a visual dive profile to plan with confidence.

Log dives with coordinates and tags, merge short surface intervals automatically, and switch between metric and imperial units, altitude, and water type. Advanced features include Bühlmann ZH-L16B/C with Gradient Factors, CCR bailout planning, and open water gas calculations, available via subscription or free trial.

Definitely not a friendly app for beginners. No instructions for use!

Dive planning (the only useful part) is an in-app purchase. I don’t mind paying but If the developer isn’t honest enough to disclose costs before download i’m not sure I’d trust them to plan my dives. MultiDeco is pricy, but at least you know upfront.

What exactly is the appeal of this app, aside from a (questionably) nice graphic design? Multi deco, the gold standard in decompression planning, provides same or better functionality, more transparent and flexible models (most important), and it is less expensive in the long run. The developers of this app have yet to convince me they have a better mousetrap.
