Features & Capabilities

Bible Reading Assistant is an app version of the official Bible reading plan designed to help you read the entire Bible in one year. You can set your own pace and freely arrange daily readings.

Key features include switching between reading plans, marking verses as done with per-verse dates, progress percentages for each book, reminders to read, and a dark mode for comfortable study. On launch, the app opens to the last book you viewed, and it shows your overall progress. If you have ideas or translation help, email hello@ministryjw.org.

User Reviews

I use this app simply to track my reading of the Spanish Bible that I read, the RV1865. I have another app I use for the King James Bible (Reading Plan by James Price) although this would work just as well. “Reading Plan” just has a plethora of plans from which to choose. I also wanted a distinct app to differentiate between the two Bibles. You are not locked into a certain order, although there is a simple reading plan option if you want it. I just use the “Normal” option and read straight through from cover to cover. It simply tracks what you have read (checked off). The graphical representation of the percentage of the book read is easy to see and understand (a green partial-complete circle) with a number inside for the percentage). The app will also note the date that you check off a chapter as having been read. Tomorrow I will begin my reading at Second Chronicles 1, which is the 368th chapter out 1189 total chapters (from Genesis 1 - Revelation 22). This is barely over 30% of the total chapters. There is an orange line that runs horizontally across the top of the app screen that represents this percentage of the Bible I have read. I will always read a hard copy paper book Bible—never an app. This app facilitates that. My relationship is with the Lord Jesus Christ by faith through his word, NOT a screen. How can anyone in public tell if you are reading the Bible or scrolling social media (wasting time) or worse? They can’t tell. No peanut butter and fluff—only what you need… Amén hermano☝🏼👋🏼!!

This app is super helpful for keeping track of what I have read as I try to read through in a year. The only thing I have noticed that it could be improved is when I have read it all through there isn’t an easy way to clear everything and start over again. But ai love the app and I tell others about it.
