User Reviews

Reviews are polarized. Many praise Ulala for its unique idle, team-based play and social aspects, with long-time players still enjoying it. However, frequent issues undermine the experience: updates often introduce bugs (white screens, loading errors), account problems (lost characters or access), and stability concerns (long downloads). Progression is grindy and heavily dependent on finding an active team, which frustrates solo players. Monetization is a common complaint—pay-to-win dynamics can deter non-spenders—and the UI can be overwhelming for newcomers. Overall, a solid concept hampered by stability, balance, and onboarding challenges.
Pros
  • Engaging idle gameplay with a unique team-based twist that many players enjoy long-term.
  • Strong social aspect and the ability to play with friends on teams.
  • Notable depth for an idle game; many players report continued engagement and progression.
  • Support can help with account issues and recover lost progress in some cases.
Cons
  • Technical stability issues after updates (white screens, broken launches, network errors).
  • Grindy, repetitive progression heavily dependent on finding and keeping an active team.
  • Pay-to-win monetization and competitive pressure from paying players.
  • Account/data-loss issues (lost characters or access) reported by returning players.
  • Overwhelming UI and onboarding with too many buttons and menus for new players.

This is a very fun game and I would have stuck with it if I could. But it doesn’t seem like there are any casual players who are in it for the fun time. I can’t count how many times I’ve been kicked from a party or told that I wasn’t taking it seriously just because I can’t be on at all hours of the day because of my irl life and job. I like the art style and the game mechanics as a whole, but it doesn’t feel like an idle game when the players are so competitive on moving forward and being active. So…fun game if you want to sink your time into it; stressful if you don’t since making any sort of progress relies on the team you make with other players.

Could be a fun and addicting game. I mean it really is already, but if you don’t play 24/7 and spend money on the game no one will pick you up for a team and without a team you can’t progress. The community can be pretty toxic most of the time. The game itself is cool but not new player friendly with a community that doesn’t make you wanna stay.

I like the game. What I don’t like is the customer service. Heaven forbid you have a problem with your account if you haven’t spent any money on the game because they do not care about you unless you’ve made purchases. They have been giving me the run around for weeks about my account and say they can’t help me because I have no receipts. They also pass your request around and don’t read the history so you have to explain your problem over and over and over. At this point I am just uninstalling because I’m fed up.
