User Reviews

Users largely report the VTI Phoenix iOS app as unstable and unreliable. The most common complaints are frequent crashes, lost connections, and difficulty linking to the drone. When the connection works, basic control and iOS compatibility improvements exist, but issues like delayed or failed video recording and a lack of clear setup or tutorials degrade the experience. Multiple reviewers note no strong support from the vendor and some even advise returning the product. Overall, performance is inconsistent and often unsatisfactory.
Pros
  • Fast initial pairing with the drone.
  • Now supports iOS devices, expanding compatibility beyond Android.
  • When connected, controls can be used quickly and smoothly.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability; the app often crashes or closes unexpectedly.
  • Unreliable connection and inability to consistently connect to the drone.
  • Video recording issues and delays; problems with camera/recording quality.
  • Lack of user guidance: no instructions or tutorials and minimal setup information.

Drone is okay. You get what you pay for. Wally had it clearanced for a decent price. Had quite a few hiccups but once you figure it out, it’s not too bad. Definitely is worth less than 100 bands. 2nd drone. 1st acted insane and flew off with loss of control. Wrecked right into a brick wall. Nothing like my DJI. But for something to allow others to play with and learn. Plus not worry about losing it in a lake or high up in the mountains…worth using for scouting before taking up something more expensive.

The app would not allow me to access my drone, therefore, I could not see the aerial views from the drones camera. It’s nonfunctional. Not for iPhone and the newer 2.0 VTI Phoenix.
