User Reviews

Most reviews praise the game's content (Doom II with Final Doom and community maps) and controller support on tablets, but major drawbacks are touch controls: small, uncustomizable buttons, unresponsive aiming, and a lack of keyboard/mouse or mod/multiplayer options. Many feel the $5 price is steep given these shortcomings and wish for Doom 1 inclusion and better customization. Overall, strong content and nostalgia are tempered by usability flaws on touchscreens.
Pros
  • Full classic Doom II experience plus Final Doom and curated community levels.
  • Controller compatibility provides a good gameplay experience, especially on tablets.
  • Faithful port with substantial content and value for fans of the series.
Cons
  • Touch controls are small, unresponsive, and hard to use; players often need to claw or use an external controller.
  • No option to customize the control layout or HUD (no button mapping, cannot move/resize on-screen buttons).
  • Limited input options (no built-in keyboard/mouse support or motion controls); requests for mod/WAD support and online multiplayer go unanswered.
  • Price and content gaps drive frustration (some feel $5 is steep, missing Doom 1, and expansion timing/content are not ideal).
  • General consistency issues across devices; control layout and responsiveness are repeatedly cited as major drawbacks.
Recent reviews
The only complaint is that to actually play well with touch controls, because you have to play claw in order to play optimally. Claw is fine for a little bit, but your hands will start to cramp up after a little bit. To avoid this, you can just use a controller, which still doesn’t excuse the poor optimization for touchscreen controls. In summary, it’s DOOM 2 with somewhat bad controls.

There is a lot of levels guns demons and freedom in this game. If you play on a tablet the controls are perfect and has so much action

Theres no room to customize controls. They also charge you 5 dollars and dont give you any of the expansions right off the bat. The controls are so small that sometimes im moving and aiming and miss the fire button and get myself killed using the chainsaw or brass knuckles. This game is a mess. If you want to play on your phone youd have a better chance streaming off your pc or emulating other versions.
