Overview

Features & Capabilities

Ships of Glory is a mobile free-to-play naval action simulator. Command your battleship in a third-person shooter and plan your battlefield strategy. Take command of World War I and World War II era ships—from patrol boats and destroyers to cruisers, battleships, dreadnoughts, submarines, and aircraft carriers.

Battle online with friends or solo, escort allies, lay minefields, and unleash devastating broadsides. Use submarines, depth charges, and agile tactics to outmaneuver foes, and even fly the pirate flag to intimidate opponents. Train on the low-tier server before charging into massive battles and prove your command at the helm.

User Reviews

Ships of Glory is praised for addictive naval combat, visual polish, and a deep roster of ships and upgrades, with reviewers often calling it among the best in its genre. However, it is held back by a grindy economy, balance issues (notably with carriers), and various bugs. Many players want more content (campaign, historical ships, dockyard) and clearer monetization balance. Overall, it’s compelling but hampered by progression and stability concerns.
Pros
  • Addictive and fun to play, easy to pick up and great for passing time.
  • Deep, polished gameplay with a wide ship roster and meaningful upgrades; one of the most fleshed-out warship games on the App Store.
  • Strong visuals and a realistic naval feel that keeps players engaged.
  • Overall great design and clear enjoyment, with many considering it their best title in the genre.
Cons
  • Progression is grindy; earning coins is very slow and ships are expensive, hindering progression.
  • Balance issues across ship classes, with carriers often perceived as overpowered and calls for more balance and anti-air capability.
  • Bugs and stability problems include spawn issues, guns not firing, and notification/ally-request glitches.
  • Requests for more content (campaign, historical ships, dockyard) and social features, plus concerns about monetization balance.
  • Monetization concerns and perceived pay-to-win feel, with players wanting easier access to coins or less grinding.

This game is so fun! The only slight problem with this game is that it takes so long to get a ship without purchasing gold coins.
