User Reviews

Go Field Guide is valued for up-to-date, all-in-one Pokémon Go event coverage and a rich feature set (checklists, Pokédex, notifications). Users praise its breadth and usefulness as a one-stop resource, with smooth operation and low ad intrusiveness. However, recurring issues include outdated content, unreliable checklist autosave, broken external links, performance/stability problems, and frustration with ads in the free version. Overall it’s highly useful, but reliability and update cadence need improvement.
Pros
  • Up-to-date, accurate coverage of Pokemon Go events, raids, lineups and in-game changes.
  • All-in-one, feature-rich tool with a wide range of utilities (checklists, Pokédex, notifications, raid info, egg hatch chances, trainer code sharing, etc.).
  • Helpful notifications and Pokédex features that assist staying on top of events and tasks.
  • Smooth user experience with minimal ads and strong overall usefulness.
Cons
  • Content and data updates are inconsistent or lag behind in-game changes (lineups, raids, field tasks).
  • Checklists often lack autosave or fail to persist progress, leading to lost work or interruptions.
  • External websites and links can be broken or hard to navigate, causing a poor UX and redirects.
  • Performance/stability issues on some devices (high memory usage, occasional restarts on free version, PVP page loading problems).
  • Dissatisfaction with the pricing/ad model (ads in the free version; desire for a fully ad-free paid option).

Is this app dead? The team rocket line ups have not updated. I have reinstalled the app already. Cliff has shadow magikarp and Arlo has mawile in game but the app shows Cliff has larvitar and Arlo has wobbuffet.
