The Newcastle App delivers information about Newcastle, Australia using immersive, interactive experiences that help residents and visitors get the most from the city. Coupling exciting emerging technologies like augmented reality with location and real-time city information, the City App will bring the stories and places of the city to life to help everyone discover Newcastle. The app is brought to you by the City of Newcastle.

• Places – Searchable locations of places, points of interest, public art; destinations such as Parks, Sportsgrounds, Beaches, Baths, Libraries, Museum, Art Gallery, Civic Theatre, Fort Scratchley; as well as comprehensive lists of restaurants, bars, accommodation and tourist attractions.

• City Amenities / Facilities – Find information not available via other map apps such locations of amenities such as Toilets, BBQs, Bubbler/Water, Playgrounds, Sporting Facilities, Seats & Shelters, Parking Stations and Bike Stations.

• Events – Searchable list of events happening around the city.

• News – Latest media announcements for the city.
