User Reviews

Print Master is praised for being easy to use, portable, and capable of producing high-quality, customizable labels with fonts, icons, and barcode/QR printing. Users like the convenient features and updates. However, recurring issues across reviews center on the app’s heavy reliance on a paid subscription for most features, frequent performance problems (lag, crashes, freezes), and usability concerns (non-intuitive premium gating, limited free options, and weak support for professional workflows). Additional complaints include reliability of printing and connectivity, and occasional data loss after updates. Overall, strong labeling capabilities but significant hurdles for free users and workflow reliability.
Pros
  • Easy to use and convenient labeling
  • Produces high-quality, professional-looking labels
  • Portable/small printer great for labeling on the go
  • Rich library of fonts and icons for customization
  • Supports printing QR codes and barcodes
Cons
  • Premium subscription gating with most features behind a paywall
  • Frequent app instability: lag, crashes, bugs, and freezes
  • Not suitable for professional workflows; limited basic features and data-entry support
  • Premium features are unclear and pricey; pricing and trial issues are common
  • Printing and connectivity reliability issues (Bluetooth pairing problems and intermittent prints)

I like the printer but for the second time I have had to go in, delete and redownload the app so that I wouldn’t have to pay for subscription. Help page doesn’t work as there is no X to get out of Pro that they are advertising and pushing. Turning on and off didn’t work. No person ever came on the help function. I finally deleted everything and redownloaded. Very frustrating. Like the printer itself just wish they would quit pushing the subscription on folks who just want back labels. There was nothing about this when I originally purchased the printer.

This app has become increasingly restrictive and feels unnecessarily predatory. When I first started using it, only a few features were behind a paywall. Over time, more and more functionality has been moved behind a subscription. The final issue for me was discovering, after months of use, that I could suddenly save only 10 labels without paying. It is unclear why labels need to be restricted in this way, particularly when they should reasonably be able to be stored locally. Even more concerning, the paid subscription reportedly limits users to 100 labels, despite costing $8.99 per month. If users are required to pay a substantial recurring subscription, there should at least be a reasonable explanation for imposing such a restrictive storage limit. I am also very uncomfortable with the app blocking screenshots and screen recordings. For a label-making application, this feels unnecessarily invasive and raises serious privacy concerns. Users should be able to understand why this functionality is necessary and what information the app is accessing before being subjected to such restrictions. Overall, the increasingly aggressive paywalls, restrictive label limits, and screenshot/screen-recording blocking have made this app unacceptable to me. I strongly recommend considering alternatives before committing to this app.
