User Reviews

Users report that Propel Sync can be quick and automatic when it works, especially through the wellness portal or Apple Watch. However, many reviews describe frequent syncing failures, especially with HealthKit/Health app and after OS updates, plus frequent disconnects and random logouts. The app is largely limited to steps and lacks other activity data, with frustrating UI and browser-based setup that makes signing in or syncing feel cumbersome.
Pros
  • Easy initial connection to the wellness portal and Apple Watch when the integration works.
  • Simple, automatic data syncing/loading once connected.
  • Portal-guided setup provides clear steps to configure the sync.
  • Used by workplaces and universities to track steps for incentives and insurance.
Cons
  • Sync with HealthKit/Health app is unreliable and can break after OS updates (e.g., iOS 26).
  • Frequent instability: disconnected or forced re‑connects, random logouts, and stops syncing without notification.
  • Limited data capture: mainly steps, with no sleep, meals, or other workouts tracked.
  • Poor user experience: login/out issues, navigation is not intuitive, and setup often requires browser-based steps (Safari) rather than in-app.

I’ve had this app for a few years now for work. Have had to disconnect then reconnect my device more than once.

After the recent iOS 26 update the app no longer syncs my steps. Seems like the Health app doesn’t see the Propel app anymore.

Current application only tracks sleep. There needs to be an update to the software to capture sleep data, meals, and workout data to propel properly. Currently only able to capture steps on iOS. I have to still use my Fitbit to capture that information.
