TablePlus for iOS excels in autocomplete, cross‑device licensing, and broad DB support with strong developer responsiveness. Recurring concerns include pricing barriers, MongoDB connectivity in beta, stability on initial connections, SQLite import/connection issues on iPadOS, and missing CSV table import. Addressing these would push it toward being the premier mobile DB client.

Pros

Excellent autocomplete, arguably the best among iOS database clients.
Cross‑device licensing: the desktop license can be used on mobile for a seamless Mac‑to‑iOS experience.
Broad database support (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Redis) with multi‑region/workspace features.
Responsive development team and quality‑of‑life improvements that improve workflow.

Cons

Pricing/upgrade model can block useful features and feels expensive for some users.
MongoDB Atlas connections are unreliable or in beta and not ready for production use.
Stability issues: first connections/crashes when querying certain tables.
SQLite handling is limited: cannot import .db files and local SQLite connections can fail on iPadOS (regressions).
Missing CSV-based table creation (CSV import for creating new tables) and other feature gaps.

Recent reviews

I have tried this and two other MySQL clients (“mySQL” and “SQL Pro MySQL”) for my iPad and this would be the best, but you apparently have to upgrade to do anything useful. The upgrade is $3.99 / month. That’s a showstopper for me.
