User Reviews

Overall, Video Converter and Compressor is a capable, user-friendly tool with strong format support and solid audio-focused features. However, repeated reviews highlight serious reliability and UX problems: persistent ads despite a paid subscription, billing/restoration issues, updates that disrupt editing, metadata/Photos import limitations, and output quality/format compatibility problems (stretched video, VOB files). A lack of clear guidance compounds these issues. When it works, it delivers fast conversions and easy audio extraction, but the user experience is marred by recurring bugs and monetization annoyances.
Pros
  • Powerful converter/ compressor with broad format support and strong handling of large files.
  • User-friendly and easy to use interface.
  • Strong for audio tasks (video to audio conversion) and helpful for audio workflows.
  • Useful ability to merge video clips into a single file.
Cons
  • Ads persist even after paying for a subscription; intrusive advertising.
  • Billing/restoration issues including unexpected charges and failed restores.
  • Bugs introduced by updates that disrupt editing (e.g., slidersReset/returning to home screen).
  • Metadata is not preserved and importing from iOS Photos is not supported (no original metadata preserved).
  • Output quality/format compatibility problems (stretched video outputs; some formats like VOB won’t open).

COMPLETELY USELESS. I CAN’T EVEN USE THE FORMAT THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH MY iPhone!

This is the best App I've ever used. I've been paying monthly subscription since alog time. But one thing I recommend it having is to convert .dat format file as well, it doesn't have the .dat format converter capacity.
