User Reviews

Users praise Apple Research for enabling participation in health studies and for its frictionless experience and meaningful data insights. However, widespread feedback highlights reliability issues (bugs, transfers, and test disruptions), device and peripheral compatibility problems (iPad support changes, AirPods, headphones), privacy and data handling concerns (de-identification and access by researchers/regulators), questions about data export to medical providers, and a desire for tangible incentives. Overall, the concept is strong with real positive impact, but stability, transparency, and UX require attention.

My father was dying of when in the Boston Globe I read of a MGH clinical trial. His doctor at the affiliated medical center in Peabody, MA. At my request his doctor Swartz was able to include dad. He lived short of two additional years. Thus I wish to give back in appreciation for a Clinical Trial’s extension of my father’s life.

I participated in a study for several years but now I have to quit because the app no longer functions and there is zero support. It’s a shame, all those years wasted because you can’t tap Next. 🤷🏻
