The Häfele Connect Mesh App opens up new possibilities for setting up your smart home, linking, grouping and controlling Häfele Connect devices. The devices communicate with each other within the established Bluetooth mesh network and offer new possibilities of control. A smartphone or tablet is no longer necessary in daily operation. The fact that all devices now communicate with each other also results in a higher range. A BLE mesh network is also highly encrypted and therefore offers the highest level of data security.

Used this app to update the lighting system installed by California Closets. Worked great and was a super smooth process.

Still no progress on adding a timer function, and now the app update seems to have reset my settings and I have to start over. I tried to get support from Haefele first, but only got the response that this feature is on the list to add- no ETA available. If you want to have lights come on or off at a certain time, it is not possible. The old version of Haefele’s Bluetooth system did this, the new version called Connect Mesh does not. Not sure how that made it through the release process- releasing something with less features than the previous version. So I wait, after paying $100 for the Bluetooth module. I will gladly update to 5 stars once this feature is brought back.

I built a custom kitchen with 3 Häfele loox5 Bluetooth distributors and wall switches. This app works well to configure the system but requiring using an app on the phone or wall switches without either a) scheduled events or b) smart home integration like Alexa and Google home makes the system feel very out dated. I want the to be able to use the scenes at particular time of day, not required to go toggle a light switch.
