User Reviews

User reviews for Propel 1890 are mixed. Many praise its fun, affordable nature and beginner-friendly design when it works, but frequent app crashes, connection problems, and short battery life hamper experience. Reported issues include the app not saving video, video quality concerns, calibration/orientation challenges, and drones quickly drifting or losing control. Some users note that using a dedicated controller helps and that the price offers good value, but the overall sentiment is heavily weighted toward software and reliability problems that overshadow the toy-grade drone benefits.
Pros
  • Fun to fly and enjoyable experience for beginners when it works
  • Very affordable price / good value for money
  • Beginner-friendly / easy to learn basic flight
  • App and drone together offer a generally positive experience for some users
Cons
  • App instability and frequent crashes (especially at higher altitudes)
  • Frequent connection / pairing issues between phone and drone
  • Very short flight time / poor battery life
  • Video recording issues: app often fails to save videos or photos and streaming quality is inconsistent
  • Calibration and orientation problems: can't reliably identify front/back and the drone drifts or moves unexpectedly

The drone is fun, however slightly difficult to navigate and to trim. You cannot fly this with even the slightest wind, it will get lost/blown away or stuck in a tree. It’s hard to tell which is front/back/left/right. It’s fun for a little though.

I had the drone for one week and it was fun but then I went to go outside to play with the drone and my brother was controlling it and it went up and I pressed down but it still went up and I disconnected the controller and took out the battery and it kept flying and then it was gone
