OUR STORY: BLU toothbrush app and smart toothbrush was created by dental professionals to help you and your family develop better brushing and oral care habits. Half of American adults suffer from periodontal disease which has been linked to many diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. We made it our mission to create a fun effective way to better oral care.

BLU APP FEATURES: o BLU BRUSH LOCATION DETECTION TECHNOLOGY USING SMART TRACKING Using 16 sensor areas of detection enables live tracking of brushing areas in the mouth, highlights where you've brushed, takes you back to any missed spots for 100% coverage

o FAMILY AND PEER CONNECT A parent can link their children’s BLU toothbrush to their app to monitor how well they brushed and what areas they missed. BLU can be set to send a notification if a child did not brush their teeth. BLU users can connect their BLU toothbrushes to compare brushing results and compete for higher score, this can be a fun game with great health benefit.

We got this brush with the idea it would help our child with autism develop more independent hygiene habits. The idea is we could connect to her brush to monitor how she is doing. The app will not let us connect to her brush. We have tried numerous times to connect with the company for support without success. They only respond with what seems to be bots that don’t resolve the issue.

This is the worst toothbrush. Half of the time the app won’t connect to the brush so you can’t even brush your teeth. When it does decide to connect the app can’t be paused if you need to sneeze and it can’t actually detect the zone it is on. It doesn’t matter because the app doesn’t have a keep alive function to prevent your phone from sleeping while brushing and there is no audio notification of zone change. Stay away. This is a grift and these people need to be put out of business.

I watch my kid as she is brushing her teeth and it says she’s missing where she’s supposed to be hitting even though I’m watching her hit it. It’s very disheartening for her. I wish I’d never bought the toothbrush- you have to use it with the app open right in front of you. I thought it was more just going to be a report when she used the toothbrush, I could check. Not that it would be accurate as I’m finding out.
