The app randomly disconnects from Wi-Fi and you have to go through the set up process to add your Wi-Fi and password. The app also says there’s a firmware update yet when installing it just spins for hours on end. Garbage.

I’ve been using the TaHoma by Somfy app to manage my smart shades and overall it works well once everything is set up. Being able to control my shades from my phone is really convenient and adds a nice level of comfort to everyday life. The scheduling feature is a great idea, but the automation setup could definitely be more user-friendly. It takes a bit of time to figure out and isn’t as intuitive as it could be, especially when trying to fine-tune routines. There are also occasional glitches where devices don’t respond right away, which can be frustrating. The interface could use a more modern, streamlined design as well. Overall, it gets the job done and is a helpful app if you’re using Somfy products, but improving the automation setup and usability would make a big difference.
