Out of the 7 different apps I’ve tried In Portugal to charge a car this is the one that actually only worked without a physical card. They do charge a premium but worth it if you’re in a bind.

This is the least bad of all the apps available in Portugal for EV charging. The app allows you to find a charging station but don’t bet your travels on it unless you have a physical card to activate the station. I use ViaVerde as a backup, which at least lets you activate the station without a physical token.
