Features & Capabilities

CranialCrash: Corridor is a digital rendition of a Quoridor-style strategy board game for two players on an 81-square (9x9) board. Each player starts on opposite edges and aims to reach the far side first. The game features twenty walls that are placed between squares to block pawns. Walls are shared at the start, cannot be moved once placed, and on your turn you may either move your pawn or place a wall. The result is a tense blend of offense and defense that rewards planning, pathfinding, and foresight.

User Reviews

The app has a solid board-game feel and accessible core gameplay but suffers from execution issues: frequent ads that interrupt play, unreliable wall-placement mechanics, inconsistent AI difficulty, and a lack of clear instructions or undo options. While some users praise the core concept and compare it favorably to similar titles, the overall experience is marred by instability and confusing UI.
Pros
  • Engaging board-game concept (Quoridor-style) with a solid core gameplay.
  • Controls and interactions described as intuitive/easy to use by players.
  • Perceived as better than other corridor-style apps on the App Store.
Cons
  • Excessive ads and ad-related crashes/freezes disrupt gameplay; removing ads is expensive.
  • Wall placement mechanics are buggy/unresponsive (walls won’t place, backtracking, crashes when placing).
  • AI behavior is inconsistent/overly challenging or mediocre, depending on level.
  • Lack of instructions/undo functionality and a clunky UI with unclear rules.

I have been playing this game when you first start the “easy” mode is way to hard for beginners.

I’m not one to review games, but this is the new version of chess in my opinion. The AI is frustratingly difficult, but that’s a good thing. It’s never impossible, it’s just smart, so when you do win, it feels amazing. My only nitpick which is small, is when I try to place a wall, the play button glitches, but only for a moment. Other than that, this game is the perfect brain teaser.
