Key Features

• Easy to understand & use If you can do bookkeeping with paper accounting books and are familiar with iPad/iPhone operation, you can use the app right away. Prior knowledge of bookkeeping from books is sufficient. There is very little to learn to use the app.

• Highly powerful even for stored journal entries. The ingenious design of the app reduces the amount of input, making journal entries extremely easy to make. Templates can be used to journalize without entering dates and accounts. Using the journal-generating function, you may be able to make a journal entry without even entering. The ultra-efficient journalizing using templates and the journal entry generation function provides overwhelming strength even for stored journal entries.

• Handling of personal information Mafin does not collect any personal information. Some apps even collect information that has nothing to do with the original purpose. Does the app you are considering using provide value for the information collected? It is possible to achieve Mafin-level usability without collecting information. When selecting an app, it is also important to determine whether the value of the information provided is worth the cost.

Notes.

Data is managed using time stamps. If you have changed the device time, please change it back before use.

iPad is recommended for use. If using on an iPhone, please change the orientation of the device to suit your situation.

Only simple journal entries for double-entry bookkeeping are supported. Please split compound journal entries into simple journal entries and input them.

Each data is stored in the device. Cloud synchronization is not supported.

There is no backup function. Please use the move function of the basic plan to batch output data and back up files. For the Free Plan, please use the export function of journal entries, templates, and chart of accounts to back up the data.

Backed up and exported data can be viewed in the Quick Look of the File app.

If you wish to reuse the journal entries, please export them in CSV format. CSV files can be used with spreadsheet software (Apple Numbers), etc.

Widget works only with iOS13,14.

Development is in preparation for a major update. Plans include support for compound journal entries and auxiliary accounts. Please note that updates to this version will be small and infrequent. [February 2023]
