User Reviews

Overall, the app offers a valuable, free, and well-organized D&D 5e spell resource with broad coverage and active updates. The main drawbacks are iOS-specific polish: incomplete Android parity, scrolling glitches for long texts, slower update cadence, and occasional stability issues.
Pros
  • Extensive cross-source spell library (includes spells from all 5e books).
  • Free to use with no ads and regularly updated content.
  • Regular updates and active development with new material.
  • Intuitive UI with strong sorting/filtering for quick reference.
  • Supports multiple character spell lists for planning and organization.
Cons
  • iOS parity issues: missing features and slower updates compared to the Android version.
  • Long spell descriptions on iOS may not scroll fully, hindering readability.
  • iOS stability concerns, including occasional crashes and a Spell Slots bug.

I love this app! It has a lot of features and constantly being updated. I have only 1 issue with it and it does require me to only give 4 stars. Now i do not know if i am doing something wrong or not but…some of the spells that have a very large description (like the wish spell) i cannot scroll down to read the rest of the spell!! The app stops scrolling and it cuts off parts of the description. I have other resources to look up the spell sure but it sure would be nice to only need this app for all my spell description and casting needs 😁

I absolutely love this app, mostly because it has all spells from all source material, not just the PHBs. My only issue is I have it on iPhone, which means no custom spells, and many of the spells with longer text are glitchy, not allowing you to scroll far enough to see all the content. My partner has the android version on his phone so I can see how great the app is meant to be in it’s full form, just hope the iOS version gets the same treatment at some point!

Does not update as often on apple as it does on android. Apple is on 3.9.0 and android is at 4.4.8 its some bulls*#t but he app is amazing just wish it was equally update
