Nabogo is a free local carpooling app designed to make commuting and leisure rides more affordable. Launched in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands, it serves 5,000+ monthly active users and is funded through public-sector partnerships to keep rides free for passengers.

How it works: For occasional trips, use Drive now to receive your carpool subsidy; passengers scan a QR code when they hop in and you end the trip in the app. Passengers ride for free and don’t need the app. For regular trips, create a Regular trip to receive your carpool subsidy; riders find your ride and send you a ride request to approve. You can also charge a fixed rate for trips over 10 km. Nabogo was started by two Danish friends who hitchhiked to school and built Nabogo to make carpooling easy and beneficial.
