User Reviews

WalkFit shows promise with short, easy workouts that can support weight‑loss goals and daily motivation. However, recurring complaints highlight billing and cancellation headaches, including unexpected charges and renewal problems. Some users find the app's prompts/voice overly verbose and disruptive. Content can feel repetitive over time, with requests for new programs, especially for advanced users. Accessibility concerns like small font sizes on Apple Watch detract from usability. Overall, it’s helpful for beginners seeking quick workouts but has notable billing, UX, and content freshness issues.
Pros
  • Short, eight-minute workouts that are easy to fit into a daily routine.
  • Helps with weight‑loss goals and provides motivation to stay active.
  • Simple, approachable workouts that users can start quickly and use alongside daily activities.
  • Built‑in timer and guided structure help keep workouts organized.
Cons
  • Billing and subscription issues include unexpected charges, double charges, and renewal problems, with difficult cancellation.
  • Annoying voice prompts and verbose audio announcements that interrupt podcasts or music.
  • Workouts can become repetitive and boring, especially for advanced users, with a lack of new programs.
  • Readability and UI accessibility problems, such as small fonts on the iPhone/Apple Watch, making it hard to read while walking.

UPDATED REVIEW: I must say they are responsive to my rather specific feedback. I’m seeing regular updates, but just not the enhancements I’m looking for. TBH, they are not overnight fixes, so I’ll remain patient. One thing I noticed this morning, on my Apple Watch, the watch app that accompanies the main app was shutting down on nearly every change of pace. ============= 1st UPDATE: They contacted me because of my original review, so I gave them some very constructive feedback, but I haven’t seen any changes yet. My primary beef is the puny font size they use throughout the app, including on the Apple Watch. One would think they’d recognize that their average user age is 50+, or at least 40+, the reading glasses demographic. We don’t want to put our readers on when we’re out walking in a sunny environment, so give us larger font size! And stop interrupting my podcast with those very verbose prompts! Just say “FAST” and I’ll know what you mean! ========== ORIGINAL REVIEW: Shame on me for not taking the shortest possible trial. The annoying voice on this app thinks I don’t know the difference between slow, moderate and fast walking, and she keeps talking over whatever podcast or music I have playing. How about a setting for brief announcements like “fast”, “slow”, “moderate”?!?!

My advice- cancel the subscription before automatic renewal and you will be offered up to 82% discount to keep the service !I only tried the app at the reduced price to try the app. I cancelled the subscription as soon as I did the one month reduced rate to avoid automatic renewal charges! The cancellation did not work as I was just charged full price for this month for an app I never used. How did I get this charge when I canceled the subscription? Now for the second time have cancelled this subscription and now I was offered a 82% discount. What a ripoff for everyone who is paying a monthly full price renewal. I would like my a full refund for a subscription that I had previously cancelled! Lesson learned..NEVER DO AUTO SUBSCRIPTION ! ESPECIALLY with an app that will give a 82% discount if you try to cancel do the second time!
