Regence Empower is valued for health tracking and rewards, with on-the-go access. However, it is plagued by stability and data issues: endless update/login loops, inability to open the app, and failed reward redemption. Authentication problems persist, and data syncing with Apple Health is inconsistent. UI/UX is often criticized as clunky. These issues undermine usefulness despite incentives and health-tracking goals.

Edit: app bug has been resolved after a week or so. Still a bit of a clunky app and need to regularly open Apple Health and then the Empower app to get Empower to pull latest fitness/step data in. Prior review: I opened the app a week ago to ensure my activity data was tracking and syncing only to find a prompt saying I needed to update to the new version of the app. I clicked to follow the link to the updated version on the App Store but all I see is an option to Open the app. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the app. No luck. I waited a week in hopes this bug would be fixed, but when I tried uninstalling and reinstalling today, I get the same “new version available” message in the app sign-in page and can’t access WellPower data.
