User Reviews

Barre Definition offers a vast, varied workout library across levels and life stages, plus a supportive instructor, beginner-friendly options, and a clean, organized experience. Many users see real improvements in strength, balance, and motivation, with quick 20-minute sessions fitting busy schedules. Drawbacks include a difficult cancellation process, perceived stale content, and tracking quirks where completed workouts remain checked. Overall, it’s strong value when content stays fresh and billing issues are minimized.
Pros
  • Extensive library of workouts for all levels and life stages (barre, Pilates, strength, stretching) including prenatal/postnatal and rehab options.
  • Encouraging, knowledgeable instructor who emphasizes safety and motivation, helping users stay consistent.
  • Beginner-friendly onboarding (e.g., 28-day beginner program) with accessible workouts that are easy to start yet still challenging.
  • Well-organized, visually pleasing interface with calendars, playlists, and clear navigation.
  • Regular addition of new workouts and programs, keeping routines fresh and offerings diverse.
Cons
  • Cumbersome cancellation process (only via a Google form) with unclear confirmation.
  • Content can feel stale with reportedly recycled workouts and not enough new content monthly.
  • Progress tracking can be confusing because completed workouts stay checked off across weeks.
  • Some users question whether the price delivers value for money.

I’m post partum and wanted to try something new. The workouts are so much fun! I actually look forward to them. I like how they vary in length so even if you don’t have the energy you can pick a short one. She is so knowledgeable about core recovery as well. I’m seeing results after about a month of doing the workouts 3-5 times a week. Can you please make a sweatshirt with the Barre Definition app logo??

I’m sure the program may be great, but I don’t appreciate the way the billing was handled. I never even opted into the free trial because I wasn’t prepared yet and I wanted to wait until I was ready. I never picked a subscription yet. They tried to bill me $149.99. I don’t even know what subscription that would be for because I never opted into a plan or program. Glad I didn’t put my real card on there.
