Features & Capabilities

Firefly Driver connects drivers with brands to install proprietary advertising displays on or inside your vehicle, enabling geo-local advertising that boosts earnings per trip. It’s designed to help drivers partner with businesses while Firefly provides in‑house support and city-wide campaigns.

Qualification requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and tracking your driving for at least three weeks to be eligible for a screen. The app collects location and time data to evaluate campaign effectiveness in key geographies, with permissions kept to what is needed to operate securely and privately.

User Reviews

Firefly Driver promises easy earnings and a simple experience, and many reviewers praise its money-making potential and ease of use. However, frequent reliability problems overshadow the positives: hours/mileage tracking is often inaccurate or missing, sign-up and verification can fail, the app can crash or freeze, and some users report intrusive background behavior and hardware impact (CarPlay audio hijack and battery drain). Customer support is not consistently responsive. Overall, the earning potential is valid for some, but substantial reliability issues deter broad adoption.
Pros
  • Easy extra money from driving with the Firefly platform.
  • User-friendly interface with easy directions.
  • Positive company/partner reputation and support from the Firefly team.
  • Advertising/gig opportunities that can supplement earnings.
Cons
  • Hours and mileage are not tracked correctly or are underreported.
  • Onboarding/verification problems and login issues (white screens, SMS verification not received).
  • The app crashes or becomes unresponsive at times.
  • Intrusive background behavior (auto-opening) and CarPlay audio hijacking, with concerns about battery/alternator drain.
  • Support responses can be slow or unhelpful.

I joined a Wrapify/Firefly campaign and was directed to a "wrap installer" that turned out to be someone's private residence and not a professional shop. The setup was nothing like a legitimate auto wrap facility, which should have been a red flag from the start. When the wrap was removed, I discovered scratches all over my vehicle. The damage is consistent with a blade being dragged directly across the paint surface during installation. It appears the installer was cutting the wrap directly on the car rather than using proper technique. I reached out to a Wrapify rep (Sarah from Wrapify) to address the damage and the unprofessional installer situation. After some initial communication, they went completely silent. No follow-up, no resolution, no acknowledgment. If you're considering joining a campaign, be aware: Wrapisfy/Firefly does not appear to vet their installers, and when things go wrong, don't expect support. I'm now left with scratched paint and no recourse from the company.

Had this app for 2 months now, getting a average of 5 hours a day driving, which going by hours and not miles seems pretty dumb, but I’ve yet to get any offers, seems fake with how much driving I’ve done and no response
