Features & Capabilities

StuffThatWorks is a Chrome extension that turns patient experiences into a real, crowd-sourced knowledge base for chronic conditions. It connects you with others, lets you share your treatment stories, track symptoms and triggers, and discuss anything from side effects to what helps most. All contributions become data that powers organized information about hundreds of treatments, symptoms, and co-existing conditions. The platform uses AI analysis to highlight which treatments work best and for whom, once enough members have joined.

Features include a personalized health timeline that aggregates daily updates and wearable metrics (with automatic Health app integration), an interactive map of members by similarity, and a discussion board for easy collaboration. You can search the data for stories about specific treatments, add your own research questions, and see how findings may apply to your AI-identified subgroup. If your condition doesn’t have a community yet, you can start one and help others find answers.

I am so impressed by this app and its ease of use, the collaborative nature, and the daily symptom tracker.

I’ve overall have likes the app. Just the survey function absolutely doesn’t work. It doesn’t allow you to type in answers so I feel like I’ve been unable to contribute.

I’m sure it works well but don’t bother downloading unless you have a facebook account
