Data Jar is a data store designed to work with Shortcuts, letting you persist key-value data. If you’ve used dictionaries or lists in Shortcuts, you’ll find the Data Jar data format familiar and easy to read or update from Shortcuts.

Data Jar supports multiple data types (text, numbers, booleans, lists, dictionaries) and files. Files are stored in iCloud Drive and accessible from the Files app. It supports multi-window on iPad, drag-and-drop, and iCloud-based synchronization across devices. Data Jar is free to use, with an optional tip jar to support the developer.

Recent reviews

Been using Data Jar for over a year and suddenly half of my tables disappeared for no reason. There’s no mechanism to restore to a previous sync. The only option is to manually export your data after every change and restore from a saved manual export. In this day and age, how is a manual export the only option. Use this at your own risk, knowing that your data will just randomly disappear at some point in the future.
