User Reviews

Lens for Watch offers a convenient, watch-based Instagram experience, but users repeatedly report reliability and security problems. Major themes include login/authentication failures and suspicious activity warnings, video playback issues, instability and crashes, and unclear/expensive pricing. These pain points hinder everyday use despite the watch-friendly features.

Pros

Watch-based Instagram browsing is convenient when you don’t have your phone.
Full Instagram experience on the watch with a faster UI after updates.
Ability to view and respond to posts/reels/messages without grabbing your phone.
Lens Pro pricing is reasonable.
Browsing on the watch can help reduce screen time.

Cons

Frequent login/authentication issues and security warnings, including 6-digit code problems and accounts being suspended.
Video playback issues where videos won’t play or only the audio plays.
App instability: crashes, constant refreshing, and unexpected logouts.
Security concerns about potential account hacking or suspicious activity tied to using the app.
Pricing confusion and tier differences for Lens Pro, with unclear benefits and perceived extra costs.

Recent reviews

Downloaded this app purely for messaging on my watch (so I don't have to use my phone), and even paid for Lens Pro. The messaging UI is very bad and lacks many features. Seems like this app hasn’t been updated in a long time. I can’t see replies, can’t react to messages, can’t see who reacted to messages, can’t edit or unsend messages. This is especially worse in group chats
