Calculator+=

If you make a mistake and enter the wrong number, you can not backspace and retype the correct number. You must delete and start all over from the beginning. Also this calculator can not add. I entered: 1+1+1+1 then hit the equals button. What appeared was 1+1+1+1=3. I tried 6+6+6+6=. When I went to school that totaled 24. According to this calculator it is 18. 6+6+6+6=18. Has inflation affected our numbering system so much that 24 is now 18?
