User Reviews

Routine Planner is valued for boosting routine consistency, focus, and daily organization—especially for ADHD users—through timers, reminders, and a clean, motivating design. However, reviewers frequently cite a paywall limiting routines, plus occasional reliability issues, watch syncing glitches, and inconsistent notification settings. Overall, the app is effective and well-liked when functioning smoothly, with strong user support and ongoing improvements.
Pros
  • Significantly improves routine consistency and daily time management, helping users stay punctual and organized.
  • ADHD-friendly features including customizable timers, reminders, voice announcements, and check-ins that support focus and habit formation.
  • Simple, visually pleasing design that makes the app easy to use and engaging, with haptic feedback and motivating visuals.
  • Active development and responsive support, with users noting ongoing improvements and willingness to listen to feedback.
Cons
  • Free tier limits to two routines, with many features requiring payment or upgrading.
  • Watch app and cross-device synchronization issues, including glitches and incomplete syncing between phone and watch.
  • Inconsistent or disruptive voice/alert settings and notification behavior, which can be hard to tune and can feel overwhelming.
  • Occasional bugs or reliability problems that frustrate users and reduce trust in the app.

Huge turn off for myself and others who have tan skin. This app does not let you change skin colour of the emojis either. In other apps you can long press hold to swap emojis out for a different skin colour and that’s not an option here. This is why apps use the default yellow skin versus pale Caucasian skin. While it’s not great that is more inclusive than just making Caucasian the default. My review will remain 1 star until I see some sort of remedy for this as this was very offensive for my user experience to not be able to change emojis to represent myself in my own routine.

I am normally not someone who leave reviews. However, I can say confidently that routinely has changed my life. As someone who runs chronically late, it has given me the ability to actually map out how much time I need to do certain things and project accurately what time I can be ready. Even just mapping out things after work and realistically how long they’ll take. 10/10!
