Routine Planner is valued for boosting routine consistency, focus, and daily organization—especially for ADHD users—through timers, reminders, and a clean, motivating design. However, reviewers frequently cite a paywall limiting routines, plus occasional reliability issues, watch syncing glitches, and inconsistent notification settings. Overall, the app is effective and well-liked when functioning smoothly, with strong user support and ongoing improvements.
Pros
  • Significantly improves routine consistency and daily time management, helping users stay punctual and organized.
  • ADHD-friendly features including customizable timers, reminders, voice announcements, and check-ins that support focus and habit formation.
  • Simple, visually pleasing design that makes the app easy to use and engaging, with haptic feedback and motivating visuals.

Cons
  • Free tier limits to two routines, with many features requiring payment or upgrading.
  • Watch app and cross-device synchronization issues, including glitches and incomplete syncing between phone and watch.
  • Inconsistent or disruptive voice/alert settings and notification behavior, which can be hard to tune and can feel overwhelming.
  • Occasional bugs or reliability problems that frustrate users and reduce trust in the app.

A YouTube video I was watching suggested the app. I have crippling ADHD and bipolar and am trying to get my life back from the absolute depths it fell to. I have no concept of how long things take and usually get off task and morning routine is out the window. Today I did a morning routine! I’ve never had a routine! I love that I can actually see how long each step takes so I can adjust later. It was also great to see the things I naturally do every morning that I needed to add in to my routine. So excited to work with this and make different routines so I can just click and automate without thinking! Thank you!

It’s perfect. It’s simple, but customizable, and it doesn’t jump at you with ads ever few minutes, and the Premium isn’t that necessary, only if you need more than two lists and like a lot of icons. Nice that it’s not a game, so you aren’t saying you did stuff for no reason.
