User Reviews

EvoPet blends Digimon-like nostalgia with a sizable, no-ads base game and optional paid upgrade. Players enjoy the depth, battles, and content, but repeat issues include store checkout failures and a steep learning curve due to limited guidance on combat. There’s a recurring call for more updates and new features to broaden play.
Pros
  • Nostalgic Digimon/VPET vibe that fans remember, tapping into classic toys and memories.
  • No ads and a free-to-start experience; full game is optional to buy and supports the developer.
  • Substantial amount of content and activities for a free game, including engaging mini-games and battle system.
  • Engaging battles with cool animations and multiple monsters to train (up to seven at a time) and meaningful progression.
  • The option to purchase the full game is valued by players who want to support the developer and gain more features.
Cons
  • Store or in-app purchase issues prevent upgrading to the full game (store unavailable or unresponsive).
  • Lack of clear onboarding/guide leaves players unclear on mechanics, especially battles and card-based combat.
  • Battle mechanics can be confusing without proper explanations, contributing to a learning curve.
  • Players frequently request more updates/features (e.g., online PvP, widgets, more mini-games) to expand gameplay.

Played less than a day before knowing I wanted to buy the full game. It’s got plenty to do and the mini games are fun enough to hold my attention. Definitely need to be a fan of Digimon or at least those old school Digivice toys.

i'm enjoying this even without buying the pro mode so far, i do really wish i could pet my little monster pal, like that would just be a nice touch, but i guess pokes of affection will have to do, anyway, i'm enjoying it so far, is neat, i like it :3
