Had an accident? accident tool walks you through it, step by step, right at the scene — and turns what you enter into a report that reaches your insurer.

WHAT IT DOES • Guides you through the accident: place, time, parties, vehicles, damage, circumstances, photos, sketch of the point of impact. • Exchanges details with the other party by QR code — no copying from a licence in the rain. Show your code, scan theirs, done. No app on their side? They fill in vehicle, policyholder and driver in an App Clip or in the browser and show you a code. • Produces the report: the European accident statement for a collision, a damage report for everything else — hail, theft, glass, wildlife, parking damage. • Delivers it. The report goes to the insurer named in the report, or — for an accident abroad — to the Green Card representative in that country. You keep a PDF copy. • Hands the other party their copy: after sending, a code per party puts the report into their archive as well, read-only.

AFTER SENDING Insurers with an interface can report back: received, claim number assigned, in progress. The claim number appears under the report, the history in the summary — and, if you allow it, a short notification tells you that something changed. Nothing personal appears on the lock screen.

ABROAD An accident in another country is handled by that country's Green Card representative of your insurer, not by your insurer at home. accident tool knows who that is for 47 countries and sends the report there.

HIT AND RUN If the other driver left, report what you saw — a colour, part of a plate — and the app shows you the guarantee fund that steps in for uninsured or unknown vehicles.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP Enter your TCS, ADAC, ÖAMTC or any other club with your member number, and the breakdown number is one tap away — also on the assistance sheet, next to your insurer's partners.

YOUR DATA Personal data in a report is encrypted on the server and deleted after 30 days. Reports you keep on your device stay there. The app works in 15 languages, and the report is written in the recipient's language, not yours.

PRACTISE FIRST Try the whole flow with the practice mode. A practice report goes to nobody but you.
