Features of the app include reading data from your Tilt™ hydrometer, cloud logging to a variety of cloud services including Sheets, brewstat.us, brewfather.net, monitor.beer, craftmetrics.ca, and brewersfriend.com. Logging features including selectable time intervals as well as logging directly to your iPhone or iPad. Calibration features include specific gravity and temperature with ability to add/remove individual calibration points as needed. Auto-removal of calibration points that overlap. In addition the app supports Celsius and Fahrenheit as well as Plato and SG units. Improve UI makes it easier than ever to access and share your data. Pros

Cloud logging/export issues: difficult to access local data, unreliable export, copy/paste problems, and iOS17 URL handling
Bluetooth range and reliability are poor: needs to be very close to sensors and signals can be blocked by walls
App stability and maintenance concerns: frequent crashes and long periods without updates
Calibration and data editing bugs: calibration points can be buggy, missing temp calibration, and editing data can corrupt results
UI/UX limitations for data viewing: in-app charts/log viewing is limited; data often requires export or cloud access and navigation can be clunky

I love this thing. I think it’s an incredibly clever appplication of physics, and I love that I don’t have to waste any beer to determine the density. I would recommend it to any home brewer.

I like the function of the Tilt app but many issues exist. First of all, you must be in the range of the Tilt Meter to look at all the data, otherwise you have to copy it to an Excel spreadsheet. Once it is in the spreadsheet, it is impossible to edit. Let’s say you didn’t get the Tilt started on time but you know the original gravity. Sorry, you can’t change it. If you try to add or delete readings from the data sheet it gives erroneous answers in the report page. If you edit data, you have to save it before you can go back to the report page instead of being able to observe the results on the report page and reverse them. Bluetooth range is supposed to be up to 25 feet. I have to be within 5 feet of my fermenter for it to work. This app needs considerable revisions in order to work for most home brewers!
