Reviewers repeatedly report major connectivity and stability problems: the app crashes or cannot connect to the EVO, holoframe and 3D viewing features are buggy or non-functional, and iPad/landscape use is limited. A minority note basic file conversion and iPhone usability when it works, but reliability is the core issue.

Pros

Converts insv files and provides basic editing.
Nice to use on iPhone; generally usable there.
Basic content management features when the camera connection works.

Cons

Frequent crashes and broken connections to the EVO camera, especially on newer iOS devices.
Holoframe mode has been non-functional for months despite updates.
3D viewer/holoviewer is buggy (mis-sized side-by-side view; needs external VR; lighting issues).
App only supports portrait orientation, no landscape or iPad Pro support.

Recent reviews

The camera is great, but this app is worthless. At one point you could use it download and manage videos from the device. For over a year it has been impossible to connect to the camera in any way. As soon as a connection is made it crashes. This is so common you can find hundreds of comments online and even the recent reviews here. I’ve spent hours clearing caches and reinstalling and everything else but this app does not work with newer iOS operating systems or phones. I’m honestly surprised this is still allowed in the App Store at all.

Constantly crashes when connected via wifi to the camera. Not much use until they fix it. I tried updating my firmware, but no joy

July 2020: Contacted support over a week ago regarding the holoframe function not working. Following up for an update, hasn’t be operational for months. August 2020: New update came out this past week, but they still have not fixed the holoframe function. They have, however, changed the ad on the app for 50% off the holoframe (they’re trying to clear stock even thought the function hasn’t been working for months.) Support has been contacted a month ago, was send to R&D and then <crickets> October 2020: still isn’t working, no response from support
